Ilya Segalovich was the co-founder and Chief Technology Officer of Yandex, the creator of the company’s first search engine and the one who gave Yandex its name. He was both highly knowledgeable and civic-minded, co-founding and supporting Maria’s Children Arts Center for orphans, special needs children and orphanage graduates. Ilya was a father of five.
